The website orthodose.com (hereafter the ‘Website’) is operated by MedLight SRL, whose seat is registered at Rue Franciscus Vandevelde 20, 1160 Brussels, Belgium, under the number 0764.817.779 (hereafter, ‘MedLight’, ‘we’ or ‘us’).
MedLight is developing Orthodose® mobile app and it’s website.
These Terms of Use (hereafter the ‘Terms of Use’) are directed at all public users of the Website (hereafter ‘the Visitor’ or ‘you’).
Article 2. THE WEBSITE’S CONTENT
The Website, including any information, graphics, aesthetic, technical, and/or other effects, is aimed at informing you of all developments linked to the Orthodose® App and/or MedLight’s products and/or services (hereafter the ‘Content’).
MedLight has the right to adapt or otherwise modify the Content at its sole discretion and without previous notice.
MedLight will use all reasonable efforts to keep the Content up to date and correct. However, not all information may be current or complete. MedLight does not guarantee the accuracy of the Content.
Any examples that are referred to in the Content are purely illustrative. We do are best to ensure that they accurately reflect MedLight products and services. However, products and services may differ in practice.
Article 3. RESTRICTIONS ON USE
The Website is made publicly and freely available to all Visitors. You agree to use the Website and the Content solely for lawful purposes. The Content may only be used for non-commercial and private purposes.
Any use of the Website is only authorized in accordance with these Terms of Use and our Privacy and Cookies Policies. We advise you to read these Policies before accessing the Website.
By accessing the Website you acknowledge having been informed of and explicitly agree to these Terms of Use as well as the Privacy and Cookies Policies. Should you disagree with these Terms of Use or Policies you are kindly requested to leave the Website.
You may not, knowingly or unknowingly, use any harmful software or introduce any harmful programs or files (i.e. a virus) to access the Website, distort the Content, or disrupt services. You will exercise reasonable care to avoid and prevent any of the foregoing. You may not distort, modify or otherwise manipulate the Website or Content in any manner whatsoever.

Unless otherwise specified, should you wish to include a link to the Website from another website (for example a blog of your own), you must first request permission from MedLight to do so. Any permission so granted can be revoked at any time at MedLight’s discretion.

MedLight will erase any links to third-party websites, which to MedLight’s knowledge, make illegal content available or carry out any type of illegal activity.
Article 5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The text, layout, illustrations on the Website or any other Content are protected by MedLight’s copyright, trademark, or other rights (intellectual property and other). All Content is MedLight’s exclusive property or has been validly licensed to MedLight. Thus, all Content remains MedLight’s property even once downloaded.
Unless otherwise specified, information (textual or numeric) may be used freely so long as it is correctly referenced (i.e. MedLight is mentioned as the source) and only for non-commercial and non-advertising purposes (i.e. scientific, educational, or purely private ends). However, any use of other aspects of Content, such as the images, sound or layout, is strictly prohibited without MedLight’s prior written approval.
Article 6. EXCLUSION AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, MedLight will not be held liable for any damage that may result directly or indirectly from using the Website.
The use of any information obtained from or through the Website is done at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, MedLight declines any liability relative to decisions made on the basis of information obtained from or through the Website.
MedLight does not guarantee the Website’s effective operation and functional performance. To the extent permitted by law, MedLight declines all liability in the case of any defect or unavailability, or in the case of any other direct or indirect damage that may arise in connection to accessing or using the Website. MedLight is not liable for any damage owing to any service interruptions, technical errors, viruses or any other factors beyond MedLight’s control.

Should any provision of these Terms of Use be found invalid and/or unenforceable, for any reasons whatsoever, the remaining provisions of these Terms of Use will remain valid and enforceable as if the invalidated provision had not been included therein. The invalidated provision will be replaced with a provision that adequately reflects the parties’ initial intention.
Article 11. NON-WAIVER
Any activity or behaviour contrary to these Terms of Use or MedLight’s failure to enforce them can never be deemed a waiver of MedLight’s rights under said Terms of Use.
Article 12. OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF PRIVACY POLICIES
Orthodose®‘s privacy policies are written in French and apply to users of the application. While we understand that some users may prefer to read the privacy policies in other languages, it is important to note that only the French privacy policies are considered official and binding.
We understand that translations of the privacy policies into English and other languages may be helpful to English-speaking or non-English-speaking users. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of these translations, as they are provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the French privacy policies and their translation into another language, the French version shall prevail.
Article 13. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
By accessing the Website you agree to these Terms of Use, and further accepts the application of Belgian law.
Any dispute arising in connection to these Terms of Use and/or the Website is the exclusive jurisdiction of the Brussels District Courts.
The law of your habitual residence may always apply, provided that MedLight pursues or directs its relevant commercial or professional activities there. It may further be possible to apply a country’s mandatory provisions, the respect for which is regarded as crucial for safeguarding its public interests.

of “Orthodose” mobile app
The purpose of these terms and conditions (hereinafter referred to as “T & Cs”) is to determine the rules for using the Orthodose® mobile application (hereinafter also referred to as the “Application”) supplied by the company Medlight.
By installing the Application on your mobile phone and / or by accessing the Application as a visitor and / or user, you accept unconditionally and without reservation all of the T & Cs defined below.
Any visit and / or use of the Application must be carried out in accordance with these T & Cs which must imperatively be validated before the first use.
The user should read the T & Cs carefully on each visit. These can be accessed in the Application and may be modified, partially or in full, at any time and without notice from MedLight.
In the event of modification of the T & Cs, the new version is immediately enforceable against the user by the simple fact of their online publication.

The Orthodose® Application is intended exclusively for healthcare professionals, and was designed to inform them about the uses of reference products in palliative care and calculations relating to these products.
The information made available through Orthodose® tools is provided for documentation and information purposes only.
Any use that may be made of the information is the sole and entire responsibility of the attending physician.
In particular, it is specified:
MedLight cannot be held liable for any inappropriate use that would contravene with the principles set out above.
The application is composed of 6 modules.
The list, name, content and functionalities of the various modules, as well as their access in the basic or paid version of the app may be modified at any time by MedLight without Medlight incurring any liability to any person for this reason.
To access and use the Application, the User must have a compatible telephone or a mobile terminal and access to the Internet.
The Application can be downloaded free of charge, in its basic version, from the “Apple Store” and “Google Play Store” platforms onto mobile devices using compatible OS versions.
The software version of the Application may be updated from time to time to add new functions and services.
Subscription to the premium version of the Application allows the user access to the following modules:
The premium version, called Orthodose® Pro,allows access to molecules not present in the basic version.
The conditions of subscription to the premium version depend on the mobile terminal used by the User.
The User should refer to the general conditions of sale that can be accessed on the “Apple Store” and “Google Play Store” platforms.
For the proper management of the Application, MedLight may at any time and without having to notify the User beforehand:
In general, MedLight reserves the right to deny access to the Application to anyone, or to any given geographic area, for any reason and at any time.
The data used for the development of Orthodose® refer to the international scientific literature available in MARCH 2023.
A non-exhaustive list of the scientific literature used for the development of Orthodose® is available in the “medical literature” tab.
It is recalled that the medical literature constitutes a constantly evolving source of information.
Updates are carried out regularly with no guarantee of completeness.
The Application cannot in any way be used as the User’s sole source of information.
MedLight informs the User that, given the nature of the information contained in the application and the different sources used, it is not possible to exclude omissions or the presence of erroneous information, for which Orthodose® could not in any way be held liable.
MedLight makes no warranty as to the performance of the Application and the availability of the Services.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any failure, breakdown, difficulty or interruption of operation, preventing access to the Application or to one of its features.
MedLight reserves the right to modify or terminate the Services or the User’s access to the Application, for any reason, at any time, without prior notice and without incurring any liability whatsoever.
The equipment used by the User to connect to the Application is under their sole responsibility. The User must take all appropriate measures to protect their equipment and their own data.
The User declares that they are aware of and accept the characteristics and the limitations of the Internet network and in particular, the functional characteristics and technical performance of the Internet network; problems related to connection and / or access to the Internet and / or to websites; problems related to network availability and congestion; problems related to network failure and saturation; problems related to transit time, access to information posted online, to response times to display, consult, interrogate or otherwise transfer data; the risks of interruption; the absence of protection of certain data against potential misappropriation or piracy; the risks of infection by potential viruses circulating on said networks, etc. for which MedLight cannot be held liable.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage that could result from accessing the Application, its use or from accessing third party sites to which it refers through hypertext links.
In particular, MedLight cannot be held liable for inaccessibility, loss of data, deterioration, destruction or viruses that could affect the User’s computer equipment and / or the presence of viruses on the application or third-party sites to which the Application refers through hypertext links.
In the event in which the Application contains hypertext links to third-party sites over which MedLight has no control whatsoever, MedLight assumes no responsibility or liability for the content of third-party sites or the content to which third-party sites may refer.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage or harm of any nature whatsoever suffered by the User or by a third party due to:
If MedLight were to be the subject of an amicable or legal procedure due to the use of the Application by the User, MedLight reserves the right to take action against the User to obtain compensation for all damages, sums, convictions and costs that could result from this procedure.
Orthodose® is exclusively reserved for medical use.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any use made by an unqualified person of the data obtained from the application.
No guarantee is given as to the accuracy, precision or completeness of the information and the Content made available.
The use of Orthodose® does not exempt the User from verifying the information available using other medical sources.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any misuse or entry of erroneous data.
MedLight declines any responsibility with regard to the information offered on its Application, in particular in the event that these data, provided solely for information purposes, may have been used without discrimination in violation of the rules of use specified in article 3.1 of the T & Cs.
The attending physician is solely and entirely responsible for prescription and monitoring of prescriptions. It is up to them to adapt these to each of their patients since the Orthodose® application does not in any way take into account personal and specific patient data.
The information provided by Orthodose® never replaces the clinical judgment of the practitioner.
MedLight can in no way be held liable for an inappropriate use of data that contravenes the rules specified in article 3.1 of the T & Cs.
The Application is available for download free of charge in its basic version, excluding the subscription costs of the mobile telephone operator, excluding Internet connection and access costs and excluding any additional costs invoiced for loading data and any other use of the Application.
The User will bear all potential costs related to the use of the Application.
The Orthodose® brand, the entire Application and its Content is protected by the laws in force with respect to intellectual property.
MedLight is the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights relating to the Application and its Content, the User acquiring no intellectual property rights in the Application, the Content and / or the Services.
In this context, it is recalled that it is strictly forbidden for any User and for any third party to exploit, free of charge or for a fee, all or part of the Content of the Application, in particular by reproducing it, by representing it, by adapting it, and this, by any means or medium, known or unknown at the date hereof, on any format and by any currently known or future technical processes.
It is moreover strictly prohibited to assign or license all or part of the Application’s Content, the related intellectual property rights of which remain the full and exclusive property of MedLight.
The User expressly agrees not to sell, rent, sub-license or distribute in any way the Application and / or the Content to third parties.
None of the provisions of the T & Cs may be interpreted as a full or partial assignment, transfer, sale, concession, license, loan, lease, or operating authorization granted directly or indirectly by MedLight for the benefit of the User on the Application its Content and / or the Services.
In addition, the User is strictly prohibited from accessing and / or using the source codes of the Application and / or of the software components of the Application.
The User undertakes not to set up systems in order to hack the Application and / or the Content in whole or in part, or which are likely to violate these T & Cs, nor to use software or devices liable to disrupt the proper operation of the Application, nor to take any action likely to impose a disproportionate load on MedLight’s infrastructure.
The User agrees to inform MedLight as soon as they become aware of an act of piracy and in particular of any illegal or non-contractual use of the Application and / or of the Content regardless of the mode of distribution.
The User expressly undertakes to download the Application onto their equipment exclusively for personal and non-commercial use and so that use of the Application does not in any way infringe the rights of MedLight, and in particular that this use does not constitute an act of counterfeiting of, or of unfair or parasitic competition with, the Content.
It is formally prohibited to design a product similar to the Application or to create a derivative thereof, and more broadly to be guilty of parasitism, acts of imitation, denigration or any other act constituting unfair competition.
If necessary, MedLight reserves the right to summon the User in order to obtain full compensation for the damage caused to the company by the User.
The User can uninstall the Application from their mobile at any time without notice. Consequently, the User will no longer be able to access the Application unless they download it again.
The User will remain bound by the obligations defined by these T & Cs after uninstalling the application.
The uninstallation of the Application by the User has no effect on the legal obligation to retain data.
Any questions relating to the Application and / or the Services should be sent by post to the following address: MedLight, Rue Franciscus Vandevelde, 20 at 1160 Auderghem, Belgium.
These T & Cs are available in English and French.
In case of inconsistencies between the two versions, the French version shall be the authoritative version.
These T & Cs are subject to Belgian law.
Any dispute or claim relating to the execution or interpretation of these T & Cs which cannot be settled amicably between the parties will be submitted to the French Court of First Instance of the Brussels district.

Article 2. DEFINITIONS
Terms starting with a capital letter within these T & Cs, whether used interchangeably in the singular or in the plural, will have the meaning given to them below:
- “Application” means the Orthodose® application supplied by MedLight, giving access to the Services (term defined below).
The Application also includes the contents, software, programs, tools, databases, operating systems, documentation and all other elements and services that compose it, updates and new versions that may be applied to the Application by MedLight. - “Content” designates in a non-exhaustive way the structure of the Application, the drawings, illustrations, images, photographs, graphic charts, brands, logos, acronyms, company names, medical information, scientific data, visual content, audio and sound content, as well as any other content present within the Application and / or any other element composing the Application.
- “User Content” all content published and / or transmitted by the User via and / or on the Application.
- “Services” refer to the various features and services offered by the Orthodose® Application.
- “User” or “You” refers to the qualified Healthcare Professional who downloaded the Application.
Article 3. PURPOSE OF THE APPLICATION
3.1. Rules of use: TO BE READ CAREFULLY
The Orthodose® Application is intended exclusively for healthcare professionals, and was designed to inform them about the uses of reference products in palliative care and calculations relating to these products.
The information made available through Orthodose® tools is provided for documentation and information purposes only.
Any use that may be made of the information is the sole and entire responsibility of the attending physician.
In particular, it is specified:
- That the Orthodose® application does not collect any personal and specific patient data. The app cannot therefore in any way take them into account in the context of the Services.
- That the Orthodose application cannot be used as a diagnostic or therapeutic tool or as a substitute for the clinical judgment of a qualified healthcare professional.
- That the healthcare professional takes the decision to use the reference information provided by the Orthodose® application in the context of the treatment of their patient, alone and under their sole responsibility, and that they may not use this information without comparing it with the specific data of their patient that they alone know.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any inappropriate use that would contravene with the principles set out above.
3.2. Modules
The application is composed of 6 modules.
- The following modules can be accessed in the free version of the application:
OPIOID SWITCHER: Opioid converter.
Opioid Switcher calculates the theoretical equianalgesic dose as provided by pharmaceutical firms and/or by the scientific literature (“Evidence-Based Medicine”).
A dose reduction calculation during this conversion, as recommended in the specific literature is also available in Opioid Switcher.
CORTICODOSE: Corticosteroid converter.
Corticodose allows comparison of the mineralocorticoid potency of most glucocorticoids. It also provides information on the half-life of each corticosteroid.
- The following modules can be accessed in the “premium” paid version:
RESCUE DOSE: Calculation of opioid rescue dose.
In palliative care, the opioid rescue does, also called breakthrough dose, is the analgesic supplement administered in the event of an attack of paroxysmal pain. The tool “Rescuedose” based on palliative care calculation rules offers a standard calculation of the rescue dose.
BENZO SWITCHER: Benzodiazepine converter.
“Benzo Switcher” calculates, for information purposes, the conversion from one benzodiazepine to another using the reference ratios proposed in the specialist literature and by experts.
MIX & MATCH: Checks the compatibility of a drug combination for a continuous infusion pump.
“Mix and Match” informs the User whether a drug combination is feasible in the same syringe or infusion pump.
“Mix and Match” does not contain any information about pharmacokinetic and/or pharmacodynamic drug interactions.
SUB-CUT: Checks the compatibility of drugs administered subcutaneously.
When oral administration is not possible, the subcutaneous route is then often used in palliative care. Sub-Cut offers a list of medications recognized as compatible in the medical literature for the subcutaneous route.
The list, name, content and functionalities of the various modules, as well as their access in the basic or paid version of the app may be modified at any time by MedLight without Medlight incurring any liability to any person for this reason.
Article 4. FINANCIAL CONDITIONS
4.1. Basic version
To access and use the Application, the User must have a compatible telephone or a mobile terminal and access to the Internet.
The Application can be downloaded free of charge, in its basic version, from the “Apple Store” and “Google Play Store” platforms onto mobile devices using compatible OS versions.
The software version of the Application may be updated from time to time to add new functions and services.
4.2. Premium version- Orthodose® Pro
Subscription to the premium version of the Application allows the user access to the following modules:
- RESCUE DOSE: Opioid rescue dose calculator.
- BENZO SWITCHER: Benzodiazepine converter.
- MIX & MATCH: Checks the compatibility of a drug combination for a continuous infusion pump.
- SUB-CUT: Checks the compatibility of drugs administered subcutaneously.
The premium version, called Orthodose® Pro,allows access to molecules not present in the basic version.
4.3. Access to the premium version
The conditions of subscription to the premium version depend on the mobile terminal used by the User.
The User should refer to the general conditions of sale that can be accessed on the “Apple Store” and “Google Play Store” platforms.
Article 5. ACCESS TO THE APPLICATION
For the proper management of the Application, MedLight may at any time and without having to notify the User beforehand:
- suspend, interrupt or limit access to all or part of the Application, reserve access to the Application, or to certain parts of the Application, for a specific category of Users;
- suspend the Application in order to carry out updates;
- update the Content;
- delete all or part of the Content.
In general, MedLight reserves the right to deny access to the Application to anyone, or to any given geographic area, for any reason and at any time.
Article 6. SOURCE OF MEDICAL DATA
The data used for the development of Orthodose® refer to the international scientific literature available in MARCH 2023.
A non-exhaustive list of the scientific literature used for the development of Orthodose® is available in the “medical literature” tab.
It is recalled that the medical literature constitutes a constantly evolving source of information.

The Application cannot in any way be used as the User’s sole source of information.

Article 7. LIABILTY
7.1. Access to the Application
MedLight makes no warranty as to the performance of the Application and the availability of the Services.

MedLight reserves the right to modify or terminate the Services or the User’s access to the Application, for any reason, at any time, without prior notice and without incurring any liability whatsoever.
The equipment used by the User to connect to the Application is under their sole responsibility. The User must take all appropriate measures to protect their equipment and their own data.

In the event in which the Application contains hypertext links to third-party sites over which MedLight has no control whatsoever, MedLight assumes no responsibility or liability for the content of third-party sites or the content to which third-party sites may refer.
MedLight cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage or harm of any nature whatsoever suffered by the User or by a third party due to:
- use of the Application and its Services;
- the Content and / or use of sites linked to the Application or to which Users could have access through said application;
- due to non-compliance by the User with these terms and conditions.
If MedLight were to be the subject of an amicable or legal procedure due to the use of the Application by the User, MedLight reserves the right to take action against the User to obtain compensation for all damages, sums, convictions and costs that could result from this procedure.
7.2. Liability
Orthodose® is exclusively reserved for medical use.

The Application is available for download free of charge in its basic version, excluding the subscription costs of the mobile telephone operator, excluding Internet connection and access costs and excluding any additional costs invoiced for loading data and any other use of the Application.
The User will bear all potential costs related to the use of the Application.
Article 8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Orthodose® brand, the entire Application and its Content is protected by the laws in force with respect to intellectual property.

It is moreover strictly prohibited to assign or license all or part of the Application’s Content, the related intellectual property rights of which remain the full and exclusive property of MedLight.
The User expressly agrees not to sell, rent, sub-license or distribute in any way the Application and / or the Content to third parties.
None of the provisions of the T & Cs may be interpreted as a full or partial assignment, transfer, sale, concession, license, loan, lease, or operating authorization granted directly or indirectly by MedLight for the benefit of the User on the Application its Content and / or the Services.
In addition, the User is strictly prohibited from accessing and / or using the source codes of the Application and / or of the software components of the Application.
The User undertakes not to set up systems in order to hack the Application and / or the Content in whole or in part, or which are likely to violate these T & Cs, nor to use software or devices liable to disrupt the proper operation of the Application, nor to take any action likely to impose a disproportionate load on MedLight’s infrastructure.
The User agrees to inform MedLight as soon as they become aware of an act of piracy and in particular of any illegal or non-contractual use of the Application and / or of the Content regardless of the mode of distribution.
The User expressly undertakes to download the Application onto their equipment exclusively for personal and non-commercial use and so that use of the Application does not in any way infringe the rights of MedLight, and in particular that this use does not constitute an act of counterfeiting of, or of unfair or parasitic competition with, the Content.
It is formally prohibited to design a product similar to the Application or to create a derivative thereof, and more broadly to be guilty of parasitism, acts of imitation, denigration or any other act constituting unfair competition.
If necessary, MedLight reserves the right to summon the User in order to obtain full compensation for the damage caused to the company by the User.
Article 9. UNINSTALLATION OF THE APPLICATION BY THE USER
The User can uninstall the Application from their mobile at any time without notice. Consequently, the User will no longer be able to access the Application unless they download it again.
The User will remain bound by the obligations defined by these T & Cs after uninstalling the application.
The uninstallation of the Application by the User has no effect on the legal obligation to retain data.

Article 11. TRANSLATION
These T & Cs are available in English and French.

These T & Cs are subject to Belgian law.
Any dispute or claim relating to the execution or interpretation of these T & Cs which cannot be settled amicably between the parties will be submitted to the French Court of First Instance of the Brussels district.

Orthodose® is an application and a website created by and for healthcare professionals. As health care professionals, we are concerned by the respect of the private life of all. Only the data useful to the functioning of the services proposed by Orthodose® are collected. The lucrative use and sale of private data of its users is not part of our practice, we do not sell personal data and do not use them for direct marketing purposes. This privacy policy describes how MedLight, the publisher of Orthodose®, collects, uses, stores, and protects the personal data of its users.

Article 3. METHODS OF DATA PROCESSING
MedLight is committed to processing the personal data of the users of the Orthodose® application in a fair and transparent manner. The processing methods comply with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Belgian Privacy Act.
The processing of users’ personal data is carried out for specific purposes, such as providing the services of Orthodose® (app and website), maintaining the application and improving the quality of the services. The collected personal data is stored on secure servers, hosted in Europe, and accessible only by authorized personnel.
Article 4. WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?
4.1 – Registration data for the Orthodose® app:

Purpose: To register you for the Orthodose® app, to keep a record of your (re)login, to keep you informed of new developments related to our products and/or changes in the terms of use. - Legal basis: Consent;

No sensitive user data is collected. It is, furthermore, reminded that, in accordance with the general terms of sale and use, the Orthodose® application does not collect any personal and specific patient data.

The processing of a contact form completed by a visitor to the website is based on consent and it is the responsibility of the visitor in question to determine what data is relevant to his or her request and to limit the sharing of information to what is strictly necessary for the purpose of the request. If in doubt, we recommend that you only provide your identifying information, contact information and your request. Orthodose® will take care of identifying any additional information that is necessary for the request in question.

Without this personal data, the conclusion and execution of the contract is impossible.

We do not sell the personal data we collect to third parties. We do not disclose the personal data we collect to third parties, except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Orthodose® website uses third-party services to enhance the user experience and services offered on its application. Strictly for the purposes described above, we may share your personal data with related companies or third parties who process such data on our behalf.
Where these service providers act as our data processors, we do not authorize them to use or disclose the data in any way except as specified in this Data Protection Policy. We require such subcontractors to adequately protect the confidentiality and security of the personal data they process on our behalf.
We have carefully selected our partners based on their compliance with the GDPR and our commitments to our customers. Google’s Captcha and Analytics services have been banned from our website.
We may also disclose your personal data:
- if we are required to do so by law or by legal process;
- at the request of law enforcement authorities or government officials;
- when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss; or in connection with an investigation of actual or suspected fraudulent or illegal activity.
Article 8. PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
MedLight SRL undertakes to take all appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access and against illegal use, accidental loss, destruction, degradation, or any other unauthorized processing of your personal data. To this end, MedLight SRL has implemented the following measures in particular:
- Anti-virus software on client workstations and servers;
- Securing internal and external communications by a firewall;
- Encryption of all data on workstations and servers.
In case of violation of your personal data, MedLight SRL undertakes to inform you as soon as possible if this violation creates a high risk for your rights and freedoms.
Article 9. DURATION OF CONSERVATION OF COLLECTED PERSONAL DATA
The personal data of the users of the Orthodose® application are kept for the duration of the use of the application. After the end of the use of the application, the personal data of the users will be kept for an additional period of five years from the end of the subscription. After this period, the data will be deleted.
Article 10. OFFICIAL LANGUAGE OF PRIVACY POLICIES
Orthodose®‘s privacy policies are written in French and apply to users of the application. While we understand that some users may prefer to read the privacy policies in other languages, it is important to note that only the French privacy policies are considered official and binding.
We understand that translations of the privacy policies into English and other languages may be helpful to English-speaking or non-English-speaking users. However, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or completeness of these translations, as they are provided for informational purposes only. In the event of any discrepancy or conflict between the French privacy policies and their translation into another language, the French version shall prevail.
Article 11. PLACE OF JURISDICTION IN CASE OF DISPUTE
In the event of a dispute relating to this Privacy Policy, the French-speaking Court of First Instance of the district of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction, unless both parties agree to arbitration. This provision applies regardless of where the personal data was collected, stored, or processed. Users expressly accept the jurisdiction of this court.
